Lake Cumberland, London, Kentucky

Lake Cumberland is a man made lake formed when Cumberland River and Wolf Creek Dam was dammed in 1951. The lake is over 100 miles long with over 1200 miles of shorelines.  Fishermen and water sport pleasure seekers find this lake ideal for their recreation.

The lake begins in southwestern Kentucky at Beaver Dam and stretches a few miles north of Cumberland Falls.  It meanders north to the mouth of the Laurel Lake tail waters where it bends sharply west and continues about six miles to the confluence of the Cumberland and Rockcastle forks, where London Dock Marina is located. From there, the main body of the lake continues north to Somerset.

The marina offers many types of recreation: boating, fishing, swimming, camping and hiking.
Rentals are also available: boats, boat slips, cabins, and other equipment.
